How Do You Know if Your Child Needs Help?
How do you feel?
Stressed to the breaking point Fatigued every day Resentful of your child(ren) Resentful of your spouse Resentful of your friends, sister-in-law, etc. Guilty about things or say or do to your kids Hopeless, thinking things will not get better because you tried everything
What do you notice?
You say or do things that surprise you, yourself Difficulties only seem to be getting worse, or more out of control Behavior once seen only at home now occurs outside the home Other families don't have these issues You prefer to be away from your family Your child's distress is disruptive to your family's daily living
If you experience any of these symptoms, you would probably benefit from consulting with a psychologist for support, therapy or assistance.
